What words can
capture the essence of friends?
They arrive
like silent echoes of mortality,
Yet bring both
solace and torment to life's stage.
In shared
moments of joy, a fleeting bliss,
Yet as they
depart, whispers linger:
"This sea
of sorrow is now yours to navigate."
What can be
said of friends?
They utter
assurances when paths converge,
"Pledge to
keep in touch, you're not alone,
In unity, we
stand by your side."
Yet, as they
stride forward, I stand deserted.
How do we speak
of friends?
They enter,
they linger, they inquire,
"How are
you?" a familiar refrain.
Before my
response forms, they exit,
Declaring,
"See you soon... All will be well!"
Yet, in
reflection—
What truly can
be said about friends?
They mirror the
divine, reflections of God,
And God, in
turn... what mysteries lie thisein?
